Argentine hemorrhagic fever (AHF), a systemic infectious disease caused by infection with Junin virus which are enveloped and contain two segments of ambisense single-stranded RNA. This viruses affects several organs, and patients can show hematologic, cardiovascular, renal, or neurologic symptoms. Junis Virus is an Arenaviridae which is part of family viruses whose members are generally associated with rodent-transmitted diseases in humans is transmitted by direct contact with the rodent reservoir or by aerosol from the rodent excreta, and is predominantly associated with agricultural activities.
