Equine herpesvirus 4

The OneqPCR-realtime™ Equine Herpesvirus 4 Kit constitutes a ready-to-use system for the detection of equine herpesvirus 4 (EHV-4) by real-time PCR. Equine herpesvirus 4 is an important respiratory pathogen of horses, particularly young animals, and is primarily associated with rhinopneumonitis characterized by respiratory disease, nasal discharge, fever, and reduced performance. The virus can also establish latent infections and may contribute to outbreaks in equine populations, resulting in significant health and economic impacts. The kit contains reagents and enzymes for the specific amplification of EHV-4 DNA targets, together with an Internal Control amplification system to identify possible PCR inhibition. The kit also includes a Positive Control PCR mix to ensure reliable assay performance.
