Treponema denticola is an anaerobic, motile oral spirochaete and, together with Porphyromonas gingivalis and Tannerella forsythia, a member of the red complex of periodontal pathogens. It is associated with chronic periodontitis and contributes to tissue destruction through its proteases and its ability to evade the immune response. Its detection supports periodontal diagnosis and oral microbiome research.
The OneqPCR-realtime™ Treponema denticola Kit is a ready-to-use assay for the specific detection of Treponema denticola DNA by real-time PCR (qPCR). Specific primers and a FAM-labelled hydrolysis probe amplify the target, while an internal control detected in the HEX channel reveals possible PCR inhibition or extraction failure. Positive and negative controls are included, and results can be analysed qualitatively or quantitatively using a standard curve.
The QC and CoA PDFs correspond to the 100 reactions pathogen. If you require for any other reaction, please contact us.
