Frequently Asked Questions about BioinGentech PCR Kits
Below you’ll find answers to common questions regarding our molecular diagnostic kits. If you have further queries, please feel free to contact us directly via our online form.
1. Are the contents of the PCR kits ready to use?
Yes. BioinGentech PCR kits contain all necessary components to perform real-time PCR: master mix, RNA/DNA mix, primers, probes, negative control, and positive control.
For RNA kits, an internal control for RNA isolation is also included.
Note: extraction kits are no longer included.
2. Which internal control is used?
To protect our proprietary developments, we do not disclose the specific gene used. However, the internal control confirms the presence of RNA or DNA in isolated samples and indicates successful extraction.
3. Do I need an RNA/DNA extraction kit?
Yes. BioinGentech kits no longer include extraction kits, allowing each user to apply their preferred extraction method.
4. Which gene do the PCR kits target?
We are unable to share that information.
5. Which thermal cyclers can be used with the kits?
BioinGentech PCR kits are compatible with a wide range of real-time thermal cyclers available on the market.
Please refer to the product manual for a list of validated platforms.
6. Do BioinGentech kits require a special laboratory setup?
Yes. A laboratory equipped with a real-time PCR thermal cycler is required for One-Step kits, and a conventional thermal cycler is needed for End Point PCR kits.
7. Can I use BioinGentech kits with short sequences or primers I designed?
If you are working with custom primers or short sequences, we recommend validating them independently. Our kits are pre-optimised for specific targets. Custom applications are possible, but not officially supported.
8. Are your PCR kits suitable for research or diagnostic use?
Our kits are developed for molecular diagnostics and research. Specific kits are CE-IVD marked where applicable. Please refer to each product’s label or contact us for regulatory status in your region.
9. Do the kits include instructions for reaction setup and thermal cycling?
Yes. Each kit comes with a detailed protocol including recommended volumes, cycling conditions, and quality control steps.
10. Is there technical support if I have problems or doubts?
Absolutely. Our scientific support team is available to help you with kit usage, instrument compatibility, or troubleshooting. Contact us via [email protected] or +(56) 9 90802078 for personalised assistance.
11. Can I submit bulk orders or request custom batches?
Yes, we offer support for large-volume labs and can customise batches upon request. Contact our commercial team for quotes and timelines.
12. Can I track amplification in real-time or get endpoint results only?
This depends on the kit type:
- One-Step PCR kits are designed for real-time monitoring (qPCR).
- End-Point kits require post-PCR detection (e.g., agarose gel).
13. What biosafety level is required to handle your kits?
All kits are non-infectious and safe to use under standard BSL-1 or BSL-2 lab conditions, depending on the nature of the samples you work with.
