Human herpesvirus 8 detection kits

Human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8) is a member of the gamma herpesvirus family. The first disease associated with HHV-8 infection was Kaposi’s sarcoma (KS). However, it soon became appreciated that several other conditions, such as the body cavity based lymphoma (also known as primary effusion lymphoma) , Castleman’s disease, squamous cell carcinoma, sarcoidosis, angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia,  angiosarcoma, pityriasis rosea, and multiple myeloma have been also linked to this virus.
