Plesiomonas shigelloides is an important food and waterborne pathogen associated with acute gastroenteritis, particularly diarrhea, and is commonly found in freshwater environments and aquatic animals. The kit contains reagents and enzymes for the specific amplification of P. shigelloides DNA targets, together with an Internal Control amplification system to identify possible PCR inhibition.
