Microcystis Kit constitutes a ready-to-use system for the detection of Microcystis by real-time PCR. Microcystis is a genus of freshwater cyanobacteria capable of forming harmful algal blooms (HABs) and producing microcystins, potent hepatotoxins that pose significant risks to human health, aquatic ecosystems, and drinking water supplies. Monitoring Microcystis is essential for environmental surveillance and water quality management. The kit contains reagents and enzymes for the specific amplification of Microcystis DNA targets and an Internal Control amplification system to identify possible PCR inhibition. The kit also includes a Positive Control PCR mix to ensure reliable assay performance.
