Epizootic ulcerative syndrome

The OneqPCR-realtime™ Epizootic Ulcerative Syndrome Kit constitutes a ready-to-use system for the detection of the causative agent of epizootic ulcerative syndrome (EUS) by real-time PCR. Epizootic ulcerative syndrome is a serious infectious disease of freshwater and estuarine fish, characterized by ulcerative skin lesions and associated with significant morbidity and mortality in affected populations. The disease is primarily associated with infection by the oomycete Aphanomyces invadans, resulting in important ecological and economic impacts on aquaculture and fisheries. The kit contains reagents and enzymes for the specific amplification of A. invadans DNA targets, together with an Internal Control amplification system to identify possible PCR inhibition. The kit also includes a Positive Control PCR mix to ensure reliable assay performance.
