Contagious bovine pleuropneumonia (CBPP) is a disease of ruminants (Bos and Bubalus genuses) caused by Mycoplasma mycoides subsp. mycoides SC (SC = small colony). It is manifested by anorexia, fever and respiratory signs such as dyspnoea, polypnoea, cough and nasal discharges in bovines.
