Bovine parainfluenzavirus 3

The OneqPCR-realtime™ Bovine Parainfluenza Virus 3 Kit constitutes a ready-to-use system for the detection of bovine parainfluenza virus 3 (BPIV-3) by real-time RT-PCR. Bovine parainfluenza virus 3 is an important respiratory pathogen of cattle, particularly calves and young animals, and is a major contributor to bovine respiratory disease, causing respiratory signs ranging from mild upper respiratory infection to severe pneumonia, especially in association with other respiratory pathogens. The kit contains reagents and enzymes for the specific amplification of BPIV-3 RNA targets, together with an Internal Control amplification system to identify possible RT-PCR inhibition. The kit also includes a Positive Control PCR mix to ensure reliable assay performance.
