Bovine enterovirus (BEV) is an enterovirus in the family Picornaviridae. Picornaviridae are a family of small, non-enveloped, positive strand RNA viruses causing reproductive, gastrointestinal and respiratory disease in cattle. The enteroviruses multiply primarily in the gastrointestinal tract but also in the muscles and nervous tissue.
