Gordonia amarae, a filamentous actinomycete  belonging to the mycolic acid-containing Actinobacteria, commonly found in foaming activated sludge wastewater treatment plants. Is physiologically active under aerobic, anaerobic and anoxic condition (NO2 and NO3).
