Murine norovirus (MNV) is a common viral infection of mice in many research facilities. It is a single-stranded RNA virus, member of the family Caliciviridae. MNV infects hematopoietic cells and alters their cellular morphology and causes subclinical chronic infections in adult immunocompetent mice.
